Matias Csillag is the founder of Breaking4News, a news outlet which shares real time information on breaking stories from around the globe. Matias’ passion for current events emerged at a young age. He was fascinated by the fast pace of a breaking story and the action that accompanied each incident. What began as a personal archive, entitled “events of my generation”, documenting important news from the year 2000 on, quickly became a passion project.  Over the years, Matias has covered thousands of breaking news stories on his successful Twitter page. Matias’ Twitter account  receives between 600,000 - 2,000,000 impressions per month as his page continues to grow at a rapid rate.

In high school, Matias would get in trouble for suddenly rushing out in the middle of class, calling back to his teachers that there was breaking news, as the door closed behind him. During his early teenage years, Matias taught himself how to interpret weather radar, a skill he uses often to share breaking weather stories with his followers. Matias’ deep empathy allows him to cover each story with compassion and sincerity. Matias is fortunate to have established connections with some of America’s most experienced reporters and has cultivated credible sources in Europe and Asia.

 

In addition to his passion for news reporting, Matias loves photography, which he uses to enhance his coverage. He is also fascinated by politics and issues of security at both the local and national levels.
